In a typical suburban neighborhood, a seemingly nice and normal family moves in. But the neighbors quickly become confounded by the family's insistence that they are elves (or any kind of magical creature you want). Discussions of calling the nearest insane asylum ensue. The neighbors have a range of reactions from disgust to anger to curiosity...and the entire neighborhood is just a mess of arguments over this quiet, kind, and otherwise unremarkable family.
