The MC lives in the fantasy world and somehow discovers the 'normal' world; which as far as he/she is concerned it's the opposite of normal. As amazing as this new world is, it is very distressing because magic only exists in pockets in this world. Any time that he/she wants/needs to use magic--something that doesn't even need thinking about at home--it uses the character's own life force to do it. Obviously this causes some problems and the character eventually needs to return home....or does he/she?
